May, 1994 took the Holbrook’s on a path less traveled at the birth of their son Curtis, now 23 years old with Prader-Willi Syndrome.

Michelle had been an elementary educator for 7 years prior to Curtis’ birth, then pursued a license in Special Education.  She has been teaching secondary Special Education for 13 years, recently completing her Master’s Degree from Brigham Young University in Special Education.  She taught second grade at Alpine Elementary for 7 years and special education at Lehi Junior and Lehi High Schools.

She served as the President of the Utah Prader-Willi Syndrome Association support group for six years as well as serving on the Prader-Willi Syndrome USA national advisory board, advocacy team member and Utah State Educational Consultant for the syndrome.  She has served in leadership positions in her church assisting those with disabilities.

Michelle is the founder of Just For Kids of Utah County, Inc., serving individuals with disabilities privately through summer school, adult programming and athletics teams and tournaments in northern Utah County.

She is the mother of three children and grandmother to nine.  She loves to teach, serve, exercise and organize.
