This class is designed and modified to meet the needs of athletes with disabilities.

Basketball is one of the top sports for people with disabilities. Players take it up at all ages and at all abilities, from young players learning to handle the ball and keep it under control while dribbling to older, more experienced players who have the moves and know the strategies to play challenging ball.

Athletes in this class will learn the basic skills of basketball and put them into practice playing the game in preparation for area and state competitions.

This class provides not only the opportunity for exercise and athletic skill development but also offers social development, the skills of team playing and friendship.

Athletes must be 12 years of age to participate in the class.
